The "Thai Street Vibes" event, hosted by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou, kicked off on August 30, 2025, at Beijing Road Pedestrian Street in Guangzhou. It was part of the series of celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand.During the event, which lasted until August 31, there were more than 30 booths displaying Thai goods and food. The event also featured various activities such as Muay Thai and traditional Thai dance performances, shows by Thai emerging artists, interactive games with prizes, DIY workshops, Thai cooking classes, and an exhibition on the 50th anniversary of Sino-Thai diplomatic relations. These activities allowed Guangzhou residents to experience Thai cuisine, tourism, culture, art, and other aspects in an all-round and immersive manner.The Consul General of Thailand in Guangzhou, Kajtiti Wiwatwanont, stated in his opening speech that the event aimed to deepen the understanding and friendship between the two peoples by combining the presentation of Thai cultural characteristics with the promotion of business exchanges. He hoped that the event would further promote exchanges between the two peoples in terms of mutual understanding, business opportunities, and tourism visits.
